Refund & Cancellation Policy

ToolsMate is operated by The Trustee for 39Fortuna Trust (ABN 17 153 783 169). This policy applies to all ToolsMate subscription plans purchased through toolsmate.com.au or associated mobile applications.
1. Free Trial
All ToolsMate subscription tiers include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. Your trial converts to a paid subscription only if you actively choose to subscribe. If you do not subscribe, your trial ends automatically and no payment is taken.
2. Subscription Billing
ToolsMate subscriptions are billed monthly in Australian Dollars (AUD). Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month. You will receive a payment confirmation email for each billing cycle.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your ToolsMate subscription at any time from Settings > Billing within the app, or by contacting us at support@toolsmate.com.au.
When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
- You retain full access to all features until that date
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
- Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted
There is no lock-in contract, no cancellation fee, and no minimum subscription period beyond the current billing month.
4. Refunds
ToolsMate does not generally provide refunds for partially used billing periods. Because you can cancel at any time and retain access for the remainder of your paid period, each billing cycle is treated as a complete service period.
However, we will provide a full refund in the following circumstances:
- You are charged after cancelling your subscription due to a processing error
- You are double-charged or charged an incorrect amount
- You subscribed within the last 14 days and have not used the service beyond the initial setup (cooling-off period)
To request a refund, email support@toolsmate.com.au with your account email and a brief description of the issue. We aim to process all refund requests within 5 business days.
5. Plan Changes
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time from Settings > Billing.
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a pro-rata amount for the remainder of the current billing period at the new plan rate.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You retain access to your current plan features until then.
- No fees or penalties apply for changing plans.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). If ToolsMate fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to the remedies set out in the Australian Consumer Law, which may include a refund or compensation.
7. App Store Purchases
If you purchased your ToolsMate subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds for those purchases are managed by the respective store. Please contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests on app store purchases. Their refund policies apply in addition to this policy.
